Thanks to all who have written in so far on this month’s On-the-Ground question about their experience with childfree dating. Some great stories and unique ideas coming in~keep ‘em coming–Will report back at the end of the month! One idea relates to singles in general–get involved in groups or organizations that are up to things you are interested in to meet like minds. Here is an example of this I came across that’s combined with speed dating:
First, a Big thanks to the many who have already responded to this month’s On-the-Ground (OTG) question: What stories and/or wisdom do you have about finding childfree singles to date?
The theme of responses so far is wisely answering how to approach the person you are dating that you do not want children–like when do you broach the subject, or do you allow yourself to be swayed if you are really into the person (answer NO)?
While this is key to the process, and we will talk about it, let me be a bit clearer–from my January OTG query, ”find” is the operative word that childfree people want to know more about. For example: What online dating sites have you used with good results and not so good results? How do you best navigate those sites? How best to do speed dating events? Where else have you met childfree singles, such as, any experience with childfree meet up groups in your area?
In essence, people want to learn more about how to find childfree singles in the first place~So please write in what you know and have experienced!
Childfree blogger Sebastyne is also up to something that fills a big gap with single childfree: the childfree dating site, datingchildfree.com. I sure don’t see many sites, if any, that are solely for those who want no children by choice, do you?
